Concrete Scanning

Concrete scanning or concrete mapping, much like regular GPR, gives us a visual representation of what lies beneath in relation to concrete.

Using our concrete scanning equipment our technicians can accurately locate the position of steel reinforcement, post tension cables, and electrical conduits.

Once the scan is complete we can mark our findings on the slab or compile a report for further investigation.

Scanning an area before any penetrations are undertaken greatly reduces the chance of causing any damage to a structure and in the case of Post Tension Cables, greatly reducing the risk of damage which can cost tens-of-thousands of dollars to repair.

Further to this, Pennoscan (as our name suggests) can scan the area and then complete any core drilling or concrete cutting work. This not only saves our clients time and money but also reduces the risk of a misunderstanding of the scan results.
